Lake Placid Lodge Adirondack Wedding Photographers
We love photographing weddings in the Adirondacks and find ourselves traveling back there to photograph weddings at least three to four times a year. This past summer, Brian traveled back to Lake Placid where he photographed a styled intimate wedding on film.
This elopement-like styled-shoot wedding was held on a private, small island. There was an intimate reception following on the dock of the Lake Placid Lodge. The Lake Placid Lodge is a 4 star resort nestled right outside of the village of Lake Placid. It couldn’t be a more beautiful place to plan a smaller wedding. Not to mention they have an amazing restaurant and lodging right on site so your friends and family can all stay at the same place.
Intimate Lake Placid Lodge Elopement
The idea of this styled-shoot was to create as real-to-life of an elopement as possible involving some of the highest quality vendors to create a magical experience. At sunrise, the couple took a small boat out to a private island for their intimate ceremony overlooking the lake. We love when couples want an intimate ceremony and are willing to go a little bit off the beaten path for the perfect spot. As wedding photographers, we will go wherever you want to go, (we’ll hike mountains for you too!).
The bride wore two gorgeous looks, the first being the Coachella gown by L’eto Bridal. This Australian designer focuses on contemporary shapes, gorgeous fabric, and unique brides. The Coachella gown is a four-piece set, including a romantic chiffon throw, crop top, and both a long and short skirt. Our brides chose the long skirt, which flowed perfectly in the soft Adirondack wind. Our favorite part of the gown was the unique floral embroidery throughout, and how the throw draped over the bride.
After the ceremony, they paddled back to the mainland and headed to the Lake Placid Lodge for the small reception with a handful of guests. The bride changed into a second gown, Orleans by Sarah Seven. This gown has the beauty of clean and classic lines in crepe, but with daring cutouts and an open back. The column skirt allowed the bride to dance the night away!
Adirondack Elopement Photographers
We love photographing weddings of all sizes, but there is something special about intimate and smaller weddings with less than 100 guests. We’ve written previous blog posts of places to elope in the Adirondacks and any of these venues we discuss would satisfy an elopement or intimate wedding!
If the Lake Placid Lodge isn’t exactly what you’re looking for for your Adirondack wedding, we’ve photographed weddings all over the place including the The Great Pines Lodge and The Woods Inn just to name a few of our favorite wedding venues in the ADK region. Are you looking to elope in the Adirondacks? We have a list of some of our favorite places to elope in the Adirondacks here.
