Photographing this family was especially special to me. Andy and Stephanie were some of our first wedding photography couples, and now to see them as a family with their son was a highlight of my fall family photography season here in Buffalo, New York. For their session we went to the local Tift Nature Preserve which is one of my favorite local spots for family sessions.
One of the biggest things that has changed since we photographed Andy & Stephanie’s wedding, (besides the new addition, William, you see in all the photos below), is the fact I’m now photographing all family sessions on film instead of digital. A part of the reason I made the switch to film is the timelessness I get reflected back to me in the images. Black and white has also been a favorite of mine to shoot with and those first four images are some of my favorites from the session.
