Kelly & Mike’s wedding is a highlight of our wedding career for so many reasons. Most of all, these beautiful humans are genuine and light-filled, and they clearly attract the same people into their life. Kelly has become like family to us over the course of the last year: working alongside us at weddings, co-creating bullet journal workshops with Christina, Greatest Showman on movie nights, and casual hangouts to discuss business and life and everything in between. When the pandemic first closed things down, as a fellow photographer, Kelly embraced a gentle attitude about allowing things to flow together. As we started to learn more about restrictions, Kelly and Mike decided to keep with their original date and host an intimate 30 person celebration on family land. The weather could not have been more perfect and we were delighted to have a reason to celebrate together this season.
Kelly got ready in a room that she designed that embraces her father’s love of bird watching. Mike got ready surrounded by his closest friends. The ceremony was gorgeously intimate with Kelly’s brother marrying them and personalized vows that made us laugh, cry & feel all of the feels of the universe working its magic to bring soul mates together, where they belong. After the ceremony, there was music, lawn games, cocktails and appetizers by MaryRuth Rera. We snuck away with the bride and groom for a few portraits before cutting cake and listening to some of the best toasts we’ve heard ina. while. Kelly’s sister delighted us with her voice when she sang a rendition of the toast from Hamilton, (one of our favorite parts of that musical)!
The wedding was absolutely incredible. Even though there were only 30 or so people, it felt overflowing with love and life. You could have fooled us that there were 100 people there celebrating alongside us. A huge thank you to the incredible vendors that came together to make this day possible: Coordination and Creation: Judy Likes to Party /Florals: Cheryl Gicewicz, Flowers by Nature / Catering: MaryRuth Rera, Kelly’s first dress: Victorias Bridal – Madi Lane Bridal / Kellys party dress: From Spellmaya Etsy Mikes Suit: New York Store
As much as we were sad that most of our 2020 wedding season is moved to 2021, we still are over the top appreciative of the weddings that still happened this year under the restrictions that were placed on them. We have a few openings lefts in October, November & December 2021 for intimate weddings & elopements both in the Buffalo area and surrounding area.
Also, we have a few upcoming trips approaching: Nantucket in September & the Catskills in October and have room for family sessions in both places. Use the contact button below to reach out to us for wedding photography or family photography!
