The Best Places To Take Family Pictures in Naples, Florida
Photographing families in Naples, Florida is my passion. The fun part is always choosing the perfect location. Although almost any location in Naples is photo-worthy, there are a few specific places at the top of our list. So, without further delay, here are the best places to take your family photos in Naples, Florida:
The Beach
Let’s face it, you likely came to Naples, Florida to enjoy our gorgeous white sand beaches! The beach is one of my favorite places to photograph families in Naples. You can choose sunrise or sunset. Keep in mind in the spring to summer months the sun sets pretty late. If you have little ones with a set bedtime, you may opt for a different location. 
Baker Park
If your family is on the larger side, or if you scheduled an extended family photo session, Baker Park would be an excellent choice. Located along the Gordon River Greenway in downtown Naples, Baker Park is a family-friendly location with year-round free admission. It offers ample biking and walking trails along the river, wooden boardwalk bridges, gazebos, and a beautiful open grassy field. Baker Park has everything you’ll need for a successful family photo session, from stunning backgrounds to convenient public rest areas for your family. You could even incorporate some fun park activities into your photo session to make it more story-telling, such as a picnic, kite flying, scooter-riding, or bike riding!
Naples Pier
This is a favorite spot for both locals and tourists, and we’ve had so many amazing family photo sessions at this location. Naples Pier is located in the Gulf of Mexico, and it provides a classic yet stunning background for family portraits. Whether your photos are on the pier overlooking the ocean, or underneath the pier on the pristine beach, you won’t be disappointed. Naples pier is also an ideal photo session location for larger families, as it is a public space and the only cost is parking. This location is usually best for early morning sessions or golden hour portraits in order to maximize the beautiful Florida light without it being too hot.
Lowdermilk Park + Beach
If laid-back beach photos are more your style, Lowdermilk Beachfront Park is the ideal family photo spot! One of Naples’ premier beachfront parks, Lowdermilk features more than just a flawless Florida white-sand beach, it also has a duck pond, two playgrounds, picnic tables, two gazebos, and a beach café. For Lowdermilk Park family portraits, we usually suggest meeting early in the morning when the crowds are lower. If you insist on golden hour, I can suggest another quieter beach nearby
The Comfort of your Home
It’s a common misconception that to get that perfect family photo you have to travel to an exotic location for your photography session. That’s so far from the truth! You can get stunning photos of your loved ones in the comfort of your own home. Don’t discount the place you spend the most time together as a family. When you think about it, your home can be the perfect location to capture who you are as a family.
We love photographing families in their natural home environments, especially if there are little ones around. Children are always more comfortable in familiar environments. Sessions in your home can take place any time of day, as long as there is natural light available. Or, if you prefer to photograph in your yard, just be sure to schedule your session early in the morning, or during golden hour.
The best part of having your family photos at home is you can incorporate your normal activities including swimming in your pool, playing in your yard, cooking a meal together, toasting to a special anniversary and so on!
