Family Photos at Baker Park | Naples, Florida
One of the things that I was most excited about when we began to talk about expanding our photography business to Southwest Florida was the array of beautiful backdrops it offers for family photos. It’s so easy to always fall back on the gorgeous white sand beaches during sunset, which honestly never disappoint, but I’m always excited when a client wants something different, which is one of the many reasons I LOVED this session so much.
When Lindsey reached out for photos she mentioned she had her maternity session done at the beach so she wanted something different this time around. She wanted to take advantage of the vibrant green foliage that Florida offers, which is normally easy to find, but with the Naples area still recovering from hurricane Ian, we needed to find a place that wasn’t too affected by the catastrophic storm that hit a little over a month ago. We ended up deciding on Baker Park in Downtown Naples and I’m so glad we did because it provided us with gorgeous light and plenty of greens backdrops to photograph in front of.
Baker Park is gorgeous 15 acre park situated next to the Gordon river. It’s well groomed 1.5 mile park loop offers plenty of picturesque scenes for family photos, and never disappoints during sunset. We started the session 60 minutes before sunset, which is a great time for little one’s in November as the sunsets at 5:45, which means your kiddos won’t be melting down due to being overtired during the session, which Lindsey and her 6.5 month year old son truly appreciated. The other great thing about photographing in SWFL in November is the weather is less humid and if you were thinking of doing a Holiday card, you are almost guaranteed to to have images back in plenty of time to pick you favorite image to send out to friends and family.
