Naples Extended Family Photographer | Southwest Florida
During the holidays extended family photos are super popular in Naples and it’s easy to see why! So many families are visiting each other or traveling in together as a big group and it always is a great idea to document that time in your life where you can actually gather the WHOLE family together.
Baker Park is one of my favorite non-beach, green spaces in Naples, Florida to photograph families at. It’s over 15 acres of spacious trees, grass and trails next to the tranquil Gordon river. The space offers a gorgeous variety of backdrops that easily accommodate a multi-family photo session and these photos of this extended family session are proof of it. Baker Park’s 1.5 mile well-cared for and groomed walking/biking loop offers easy access to every inch of the park and truly never disappoints during that golden hour time. I especially love photographing bigger groups of people here at Baker Park because the lush tall trees offer great shade for everyone, ensuring that nobody melts, squints or has harsh lighting hitting them during the sunnier parts of the session.
Another wonderful thing about Baker Park in regards to extended family sessions is, it offers plenty of roaming room and freedom for all of the families to play with their kids and enjoy the scenery themselves while I am spending time photographing the rest of their family members smaller family units. We started this multi-family session about 90 minutes before sunset, which was around 4:15pm on this gorgeous winter day in Naples and really got to enjoy a lot of what the park has to offer. I love the colors that the family chose to wear which photograph perfectly with the greens and the golden hour light pouring through.
