Sunrise Family Photos | Naples, FL
I get a lot of inquiry’s for sunset family photos and although I do love a sunset session on the beach, I feel that clients often overlook beauty of a sunrise session.
Here are some of my favorite perks of a sunrise session:
- The Light: the light is more even and less harsh in the morning hours due to the beachfront condos which provide shade for the first 90 minutes of sunlight. That does not mean you can’t find some nice bursts of sunshine in the morning, but it does mean that the majority of your images will be taken in beautifully even lighting that is flattering on everyone.
- Beaches are less crowded: Beaches are far less crowded during sunrise, especially during peak vacation weeks around the holidays when sunset is extremely popular for everyone in southwest Florida not just families getting their photos taken.
- Your Kids: Kids are normally more rested in the morning and you are not fighting a missed nap or a hungry/hangry child in the AM hours. It’s also nice getting the photo session out of the way and you can relax and enjoy the rest of your day!
For this session, we arrived at the beach about 15 minutes after sunrise. We started the session by the beach entrance where the sun was gushing through the lusciously thick green vegetation. We then moved to the beach where the condos provided the most gorgeously even light by the shoreline.
If I could pick a favorite time to photograph families in Southwest Florida it would 100% be during sunrise. There are a few hidden beach entrances I know of which are magical during the morning hours and I have never been disappointed with how the images turned out.
