June is one of our favorite months as wedding photographers. The light stays out later, we’re shooting more regularly, and we finally get to meet all of our current year couples for engagements sessions before their weddings! Most of our couples book us without meeting us in person (we always offer in-person meetings prior to booking, but sometimes the timing just doesn’t work out) and booking an engagement session is a great way to get to know us before your day, (and get you more comfortable in front of the camera!).
Emily and Mike opted for the engagement session and I (Brian here) am so glad they did. The second I walked into Emily & Mike’s home and saw the stack of records on the floor and the Manhattans in their hands, I knew we were the perfect fit. We had so much fun on their engagement session and exploring their neighborhood on the West side of Buffalo. I couldn’t be more excited about their upcoming wedding this September! Especially now that we’ve had the chance to meet and work together. Emily and Mike are some of the nicest, fun-loving people you’ll ever meet. Their natural happiness is obvious to everyone around them (and pretty contagious if you ask me!).
At the end of the session I took a few film shots which I mixed a few within here. I’ve been incorporating more film into my family sessions, but it’s always fun to do a few extra photos at the end of an engagement session too!
