Downtown Naples Florida Family Session
This past August we made the move from Buffalo to Naples, Florida and we’re so excited to be living here this year and share some of the film family sessions that I photographed recently including this colorful one I photographed in downtown Naples
Hurricane Ian did create a slow start to my family session season here in Naples FL. The storm hit our local beaches and streets needed to be cleaned in order to make it safe to photograph families around the area. I have so much appreciation for all of the people that worked around the clock to help bring Naples back to life in the weeks following. Despite a lot of personal loss like homes, cars, and storage units it’s been amazing to see a community hold hope and come together to help each other and rebuild this beautiful area. As you could imagine I was so excited to finally start photographing families again once it as safe to do so
I photographed this beautiful family in October which is at the tail end of our rainy season here in Southwest Florida. When we met up for the session we were relieved it was a no-rain evening but it was a bit windy which kept us off the beach except for one quick photo. Thankfully, one of my favorite things about photographing in downtown Naples is that there is a variety of places to photograph.
I love that we got some fun pool shots in and also the variety of photographing them downtown around 10th street south (which has beautiful colored walls), and finished up at our pool with some more candid imagery. I love sessions that incorporate a variety of experiences because it makes a family session feel so much more full. And yes, I’m willing to get in the pool with your family to grab those fun moments!
