Photographing weddings and engagements in New York City and Dumbo, Brooklyn always excites us. In a way, it always feels like returning home. We lived in New York City for a little over 4 years and that is where we met and started dating, (which still feels like yesterday). It’s hard to believe that was over 10 years ago, and now when we return, we are bringing back with us 8 years of marriage and our little daughter. To say the least, our experience of visiting New York City has changed since having Vera, but bringing her along also makes us appreciate the little things about it so much more; the walkability, the coffee shops on every corner, the friendly people on the subway (Yes! Even people on the NYC can be friendly when you’re traveling with a little one!).
While in Brooklyn, Brian met up with Ally and Ryan, (one of our 2018 couples!), to photograph their engagement session in Dumbo, Brooklyn. It’s always awesome to meet up a with couples in person before their wedding day and get to know them better before showing up at their wedding to spend the day with them. Ally and Ryan are one of the sweetest couples and we are so excited to be working with them and photographing their wedding this fall in the Adirondacks. We hope you enjoy this preview of their mini engagement session from Brooklyn!
And yes, we do travel to New York City for weddings and engagements, (and family sessions!) and travel IS NOW included in all of our 2018-2019 wedding collections. We love traveling all over the US for weddings, but New York City is one of our favorite destinations to return to!
