We’re so excited to share Katie & Jacob’s elopement on Whiteface Mountain. We absolutely love being invited to the Adirondack mountains to photograph weddings and elopements. Katie & Jacob decided to have their elopement on Whiteface Mountain in the Adirondack’s because the place had a lot of meaning to them. They have a family cabin nearby and would often visit Whiteface for the view, (and the hike!).
We arrived for their getting ready at their family cabin, where it was just the four of us surrounded by the beauty of the park. After getting ready we drove together to the mountain and on the way Katie kept mentioning how she had been dreaming and wishing for the mountain to be “socked in.” To our amazement, when we arrived, there was zero visibility. Katie was so excited and we knew this would mean for some one of a kind wedding photos. Most people elope on Whiteface mountain for the view- Katie wanted the exact opposite. A sense of magic surrounding them.
Katie & Jacob’s wedding was one of the turning points for us as wedding photographers. After their wedding we had the realization that we could put a call out to the universe to connect with like-minded clients and that the call would be answered with people like Katie & Jacob.
