Hoyt Lake Family Session | Buffalo, NY
When the Pleban’s reached out for family photos I knew they were my kind of people. Shortly after they booked their youngest son broke his arm and instead of rescheduling the session they decided to just document their family the way it was, broken arm included. I was so happy they decided to go through with the session as it made the session memorable and when they look back at the photos they will always remember this moment in their lives.
We started the session at their home in the Elmwood Village and then walked to Hoyt Lake. It was a hot summer evening but we kept in the shade and were so happy we made the walk to Hoyt Lake as the sun was setting and the water looked magical against the sky.
Hoyt Lake is a wonderful place to have your photos taken in Buffalo NY. It is located at the heart of Buffalo’s Delaware Park, which is one of Buffalo, NY’s most popular parks created by Frederick Law Olmsted, who also was the architect for Central Park in NYC. The park spans about 350 acres and the lake is one of the centerpieces of the park. You can walk the trails, relax in the grass, play in the trees, or even go explore the lake via paddle boat. Buffalo, NY has a lot to offer, and Delaware Park/Hoyt Lake is a wonderful backdrop for photos for anyone living in or around the city.
I do have availability for a few more families who live in or around Buffalo, NY this July. Sessions include a 60-70 minute session on film, on location up to 20 miles from Buffalo, NY. There is an additional fee for traveling past 20 miles or for an extended family session with more than 6 people. Get in touch to book your session today!
