There are so many unique wedding venues in Buffalo, NY but Lauren and Andy discovered one just a bit outside of the city that might be one of our new favorite wedding venues: Hurd Orchards in Holley, New York. The catch is that it’s a bit of a drive out of the city, but in our opinion, it is worth it in every way! Hurd Orchards is a smaller wedding venue that is between Buffalo and Rochester and they provide all the flowers, food and wedding decor!
A little bit information on Lauren and Andy’s ceremony venue: Hurd Orchard’s hosts private events from mid-May, after Mother’s Day, through mid-June, ending at Father’s Day and then again from late July through the 1st weekend in September. There are many lovely areas on the farm to host a ceremony: Facing a twenty acre meadow, in front of our herb gardens, in the orchard using our garden pavilion as a backdrop or facing our barn are great choices. Lauren and Andy opted to face the barn and we really enjoyed this ceremony site. Hurd Orchard’s barn can seat comfortably up to 75 guests but they have the option of using an adjoining tent and you can increase your wedding guest count to up to 150 guests.
Lauren and Andy’s wedding ceremony was one of the most beautiful ceremonies we’ve ever had the privilege of being a part of. Lauren has been visiting Hurd Orchards since she moved to Buffalo and she said she knew from way back then, she would one day get married there. After photographing a wedding at Hurd Orchards for the first time, it was clear to us why this place is so special. Enjoy this small preview from their ceremony at Hurd Orchards & if you find time this summer or fall, be sure to visit and pick your own cherries, raspberries and/or apples.
