Moorings Beach Family Session in Naples Florida

This beautiful family was in town visiting from Montreal.   I love it when families reach out to book a session while they are on vacation in Naples, Florida. Taking family photos while you’re on vacation allows you to pick the time and location without having to worry about a work schedule, school schedules, after-school activities, or any other obligations you might have at home.  With a flexible schedule, we decided to meet early in the morning to avoid the crowds and the heat of the beach.

About Moorings Beach Park

Moorings Beach Park is located off of Gulf Shore Blvd. The beach itself is public. But, it’s important to note that the parking is private for the Moorings residents only.
To park in the parking lot, you must have the appropriate Moorings Beach parking sticker.  But, you can park anywhere on the street or nearby store parking lots to experience this beach and lovely, shaded park. Due to it being a private parking lot, this beach is far less crowded than other areas in Naples. For this reason, I find it a great place to take family photos in the morning.

On this particular day, Moorings Beach was overcast. I photographed this session on my favorite color film (currently Portra 400) . This film gives me amazing results with that type of weather. If your family session happens to have a cloudy day, don’t fret! This film handles remarkably with the sun being diffused by clouds.
