Google for the win! The Vladmirovna family was traveling to Naples, Florida from Atlanta to visit their parents. While they were here, they wanted to take advantage of the Florida landscape and schedule a family photo session in Naples. They found us through Google and the rest was history. The family chose the Naples Pier for their family photo session location. They were in Naples visiting family, who just so happen to live close to the pier. Naples Pier is a popular spot for sightseers, and after visiting the pier several times, they thought it would be the perfect background for their family photos (and I agreed).
The Vladmirovna’s family photo session took place in November, just before the Thanksgiving holiday. I love this time of year because it’s when Florida starts to cool off. And by cool off, I mean temperatures in the 70’s (it is still Florida after all). We started the session about 90 minutes before sunset, which is my favorite time of day for photos. I always recommend golden hour to families who book with us. The light during this time of day is ideal and it helps to produce stunning photos. Plus, you can’t beat that Florida sunset glow.
This was a memorable trip for the family because it was their kiddo’s first plane ride! Flying for the first time is a huge milestone for parents, so this photo session marked the occasion. The Vladmirovnas were a joy to work with. The session was super easy going, and their kiddo was lively and happy, so it was easy to capture those authentic moments. Photo sessions can be unpredictable with little ones. It’s always a good idea to make sure your child is well rested, fed, and prepared before a photo session. But of course, things don’t always go as planned, so feel free to bring snacks or treats for bribery if necessary.
