NAPLES PIER FAMILY SESSION
The Siepierskis are fellow Buffalonians who recently relocated to Naples, Florida. It’s so fun to me how people from Buffalo always seem to connect with us on the road and in our travels! It’s our running theory that people from Buffalo, New York always seem to find each other, even if they currently live in different cities. A year prior to their family photoshoot, the Siepierskis were visiting Naples Pier and thought it would be a perfect location to have their family photographed one day. With some planning and a little help from Google connecting us together, we made it happen!
The Siepierski’s Naples Pier family photo session took place at our favorite time of day to photograph families, golden hour, which is about 90 minutes before sunset. I always recommend this time of day for outdoor, beach photo sessions because the light is most ideal and it helps to produce gorgeous family photos. I love having the opportunity to capture that Florida sunset glow. Also, in the summer months, the golden hour usually provides a little bit of relief from the heat. The Siepierski session took place in November, and the weather that day was absolutely perfect, sunny and 70 degrees. It was actually raining a few miles away from us, but the rain never reached where we were photographing (thank goodness!).
This family was so much fun to photograph. They were extremely easygoing, and they left all of the creative direction up to me. Each of the three Siepierski kids had their own unique personalities, and it was my goal to capture each of them individually, as well as their closeness as a family. They had never taken professional family photos before, but they were naturals. I was honored for the opportunity to photograph this amazing family.
Choosing to have your family photos at the Naples Pier, or any beach in the Naples area, is always a great background! If you’re looking for a Naples family photo session, I’d love to capture your family’s personalities on film. Not only is the scenery in Naples breathtaking, but there is plenty of room to spread out on the beach and let kids be kids. Natural and unscripted moments are my favorite type of family portrait. The Siepierski kids were able to play in the sand and run barefoot through the ocean waves. Posed pictures are classic, (and I always take a few), but nothing beats a natural action shot and genuine smiles.
