Alyssa & Andrew got married at the incredible 1768 Hubbel Homestead, a picturesque indoor/outdoor wedding venue overlooking the Vermont Mountains. They decided to have their wedding in Bennington, Vermont because it was the half way point between where their families lived in New York and Massachusetts.
We are so grateful to be invited to photograph weddings like Alyssa & Andrew. They are full of heart & life and their smiles instantly welcome you into their world to share in their joy. The weather could not have been more perfect, and even with a little good luck rain right before the ceremony, their day was flawless. Everything from Alyssa’s dress, (with that amazing deep v cut of the back), to the handmade signs, to the incredible locally prepared food, to the beautiful floral design was thoughtfully picked and brought together to create a feeling of being at an elegant and cozy celebration of love.
Because Bennington is about 5 hours from Buffalo, we drove up the night before to settle in. Alyssa and Andrew had blocked a set of rooms at the Hampton Inn in Bennington which was perfect for traveling with our 6 month old and parents. We enjoyed the extra day and morning we had exploring the quaint downtown part and our favorite restaurant we found was the Brown Cow Cafe, (order the breakfast burrito, you won’t be disappointed!).
