Are you planning a beach family photo shoot in Naples, Florida? As a family photographer based in this beautiful beach town, I’d love to offer some tips on what to wear to ensure that you and your family look your best in front of the camera while feeling comfortable.
First, I always recommend coordinating vs. matching.
Coordinating helps the photo session feel cohesive and when you go to print your photos, they will feel a bit more polished while still having everyone look like themselves.
Neutrals and pastels photograph great at the beach
Neutral tones like ivory, cream, beige, or tan, along with subtle pastel colors like mist blue, sage green, and light pink always photograph beautifully on the beach.

But, a pop of color is always fun!
In saying that, a pop of brighter color on one person also always works well. If mom is wearing a brighter color, I recommend the other family members coordinate with softer colors that mix well with it.
Do you love wearing black? Try to coordinate black with soft pink, beige, white, brown, gold, and gray. Or another pop of color.
Avoid logos and graphics
Be sure to avoid clothing with large logos or graphics, and choose styles that are comfortable and flattering for everyone in the family.
