Sunset Family Photos | Naples, FL
Sunset is such a magical time to photograph in Naples, FL. The only catch is you have to time it right. Since the sun sets into the Gulf of Mexico you don’t want to be on the beach till about the last 30 minutes of sunset. Before that the sun can be very harsh, casting strong shadows and highlights on your subjects which is not very flattering. If you end up getting a more cloudy day for your session then this will be less of an issue.
For this session, we had little to no cloud coverage so we arrived at the beach about 45 minutes before sunset and spent the first 15-20 minutes photographing around the beach entrance. Lucky for us Naples has wonderfully manicured beach entrances which are generally full of thick green vegetation which is not only beautiful but also provides an amazing backdrop for photos shielded from the harsh afternoon sun.
